What we treat

Eight conditions, and a room set up for each of them.

We are a dermatology clinic that happens to be comfortable, not a spa that happens to own a laser. If what you need is not on this list, we will say so and tell you who does it properly.

Room 1. The rig has not moved since 2019, which is the only reason a comparison across six years means anything.

How a first visit runs

Four steps, in the same order, every time.

  1. 01

    You send three photographs

Taken on your phone, in daylight, before you book. It takes four minutes and it means we can tell you if we are the wrong clinic before you have paid us anything.

  2. 02

    Fifty minutes in Room 1

History, dermoscopy, a Wood's lamp, and four frames on the fixed rig. The examination is longer than the conversation, which is the correct way round.

  3. 03

A written protocol, inside 48 hours

Diagnosis, treatment, number of sessions, total cost at today's prices, and what happens if it does not work. In an email you can read twice and show to someone else.

  4. 04

You decide, without us in the room

Nobody calls you. If you want to book, you book. If the protocol was 'wear the sunscreen and come back in a year', that is a complete answer and the file stays open.

House rules

Six things this clinic will not do.

Most of these cost us money. They are on the website because a rule you cannot read before you book is not a rule, it is a preference.

From a patient letter, kept with permission

“Three clinics had offered me laser for the marks on my cheeks. Dr Clavel spent two minutes with a torch, told me most of it was too deep to laser safely, and sent me away with a sunscreen and a prescription. It is eighteen months on and my face is the best it has been since I was twenty-five. I keep telling people about the appointment where nobody sold me anything.”

Bring the skin, not the diagnosis you found online.

£180, fifty minutes, and a written answer within two days — including, quite often, the answer that you do not need us.
