Every treatment in this clinic starts here, without exception. Not as a sales gate — as the only honest way to price a course of work. A laser quoted before anyone has looked at your skin under cross-polarised light is a guess with a number attached.

What the fifty minutes actually contain

Ten minutes of history: what you have used, what stung, what worked for six weeks and then stopped. Fifteen minutes of examination — dermoscopy on anything raised or pigmented, a Wood’s lamp to separate epidermal pigment from dermal, and a stretch test on any redness to tell fixed vessels from flushing.

Then the rig. Four shots, same seat, same chin rest, same two strobes, in standard, cross-polarised and parallel-polarised light. That set becomes your baseline, and every subsequent visit is shot on the same rig so a comparison means something.

The rig in Room 1. Fixed lights, fixed distance, fixed seat height — the only three things that make a before-and-after honest.

The last fifteen minutes are the conversation that matters: what is treatable, what is manageable, and what is neither. We will tell you which of the three you are in.

What you leave with

A written protocol, emailed inside 48 hours. It names the diagnosis, the treatment, the number of sessions we expect, the total cost at today’s prices, and — this is the part other clinics leave out — what happens if it does not work.

If the answer is cheap, we will say so

Perhaps a third of first consultations end with a recommendation that costs less than the consultation did. A £12 sunscreen worn properly beats a £900 pigment laser worn off by August, and we would rather tell you that than take the booking.

You are not charged again for the follow-up email, and you are under no obligation to book anything afterwards. The £180 comes off the first treatment if you do.

Before you book this

We would rather check it is the right treatment.

Fifty minutes in Room 1, £180, redeemable against whatever you go on to have — including nothing.
