Adult acne is rarely a hygiene problem and almost never a willpower problem. It is inflammation, hormones and follicular keratinisation in some combination particular to you, and the useful question is which of the three is doing most of the work.
How the course runs
Sessions one and two are diagnostic and de-escalating. We reduce the routine before we add to it — most people arriving here are using four actives that are cancelling each other out. Extraction where it helps, nothing forced.
Session three is the review. We put your baseline photographs beside the current set and count lesions. Not “does it feel better” — an actual count, inflammatory and non-inflammatory separately. If the count has not moved, the protocol changes rather than continues.
Sessions four to six are maintenance and scar prevention: gentle resurfacing where post-inflammatory marks are setting in, and a taper plan so you are not dependent on the clinic to keep the result.
The scarring conversation, early
Atrophic scarring is easier to prevent than to treat, and the window is while the acne is still active. If we can see ice-pick or rolling scars forming, we will raise it at session one — not at session six when there is a resurfacing course to sell.
What it costs, honestly
£145 a session, six sessions, so £870 over five months if you complete the course. Prescriptions are extra and billed at what the pharmacy charges us. You pay per session, and if you want to stop at session three because it is working, stop at session three. We do not sell packages, because a package is a bet that you will keep coming.
